Scattered thoughts all night long

Two weeks of no school, and here I am being bored already. Actually, it's because my brother doesn't get out of his school till the last day of June. Family trips don't start till mid-July either. Some friends are already out of town, and some aren't even coming back till fall. I don't have a job, so what's a girl to do??????





I actually went shopping a couple, scratch that, a lot for the past two weeks when I'm really supposed to not shop. Stubborn as I am, I hauled a small amount of stuff I will share next time. I promise to have the haul post something this week!!

Before going through this entire post, I probably should warn you about it being photo heavy. Okay, here goes nothing.

Hey guys! This was from the weekend, late upload again I know. I promised pictures from my friends' joint party but I had to much fun that I didn't even realize I had a camera. However, I promise they will make their way here once I get a hold of them.

For the mean time, here are a couple of shots from my walk by the lake with my cousin's dog, Nala. Yes, she was named after Nala from the Lion King LOL. That's her with her newly trimmed black and white coat and pink leather leash!

I wore a casual outfit because I was feeling under the weather and really lazy. Hair was in a fishtail (I hope you can see in the first photo) and I had my huge bow headband on and I was even matching with my little sister. I got it for about $0.30 from a closing store at a local mall and of course, I bought tons! My shoes were casual as well, wearing regular tennis shoes in black. The shirt is from one of my favorite brands, Jules+James. Only, wait for it............. Zellers carry the brand and they have unbelievably great pieces for such low prices! A definite must see brand if ever you happen to pass by Zellers!

Oh and here's a bonus- me struggling to walk a dog! If you know me personally, you would know that I have never had, maybe never will have one. I find them super adorable yet I am dead scared of them but when we took Nala out, I figured why not give it a try.

Hey y'all! I found this really nice store online called http://www.neely.com/ Has anyone ever heard of it? Well I was browsing and made a pile of shoes I really liked. They all have such nice detailing too. Only thing is they're located all the way in Sweden and the site itself is Swedish, but they carry lots of good brands.

To forget what I’ve done, silhouette til the good lord come

I love shopping for cheap prices. I honestly think the word SALE is in my top ten favorites. Don't you just get the thrill of buying something awesome at such a low price? I know I do! Well this outfit today is what it's all about.

I've got this lovely skirt to share. I got a year ago.. actually it was a present from my younger brother but I got to pick it. The pattern is super adorable with little flowers and such. I really like its color palette, the versatility and it's a year round staple as well!

I paired it with this white lace shirt over a black tank. I got it on sale too for less than $10. The shirt is from the brand UK2LA which is a great brand for those who haven't tried it! They have amazing pieces offered for low prices.

Yes, I am aware that my photos are differently shaded. I was playing around with photoshop. (LOL)

Lastly, I had this batsleeve cardigan that I just threw on. It has cute little pockets on the side and an interesting cuff-ish detail on the sleeve. I got this one too for $10 and I use it all the ime. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't carry this piece anymore (I would've gotten it in all colors cause it's so easy to wear!) but I believe they have these kinds selling at F21 too..

People are people and sometimes we change our minds

You know that feeling of guilt and regret of not getting to know someone earlier? Well it's the second to the last day of school and I feel like I didn't get to meet as much people as I have wanted.
But you know what they say.. it's better late than never. So tomorrow, I'm going to say hi to people I haven't met and be friendly to everyone.

Anyway, this is what I wore today. The shorts are pinstripes and they're the cutest shade of pink and they go with everything! Bodysuit is also vintage from my mom and it has this unique lace pattern. I paired this outfit with sandals and a black blazer but didn't get photographed :(

The weather channel said "expect pouring rain and humid weather". 50% true. I was so prepared for the rain that I came to school dressed in so much layers. By noon, I was sweating because of the scorching heat. So much for having rain.

Today's hair: bouncy curls that ended up as waves by mid-afternoon.

The start

I've told myself a dozen times to start up a new blog, but of course I knew hoe much work it would be. Ok, i caved and here it is. A personal style blog showcasing what I wear, and my insights on movies, books, clothing, brands and anything under the sun.
